Who's behind ByStudents.com?

ByStudents was founded by recent graduates looking to create a truly accurate, student-written guide to America's top colleges.

When will your website and guidebook be published?

Our website will launch this summer, and our guide will be released in bookstores nationwide in August 2009.

Okay. What do you want from me?

Just twenty minutes of your time. Fill out our survey, and tell us what Unknown is really like. Do you love Unknown? Hate it? Something you wish you could change about it? We want to hear your perspective.

Is there anything I can't say in my survey? Can I curse? Talk about sex or drugs? Be critical of my school?

Speak candidly about anything you'd like. If it's a part of your college experience, we want to hear about it.

Can I write under a pseudonym?

You can use your own name or you can make up a pseudonym. We only ask that you provide us with your real email address, so we can contact you if your writing is chosen for publication.

Once I've submitted my writing, when will I find out more?

ByStudents will contact everyone who fills out a survey on or before July 1.

What are my chances of being published?

If you write something that's honest, or smart, or incisive, or funny - something that illustrates your thoughts and experience at Unknown - you'll have a pretty good shot.
